The most complete set of instruments and panels I have produced yet, and essentially 2 cockpits in 1[/b] !
Running these panels will need the following third-party software installed and running.
X-Plane 12
IXEGCP 1.5.2 or later
Air Manager - Home Use 4.2 (BETA 31)[/b]. There has been a subsequent full release but I note that there have been issues raised over streaming gauge images. I would therefore recommend you retain the Beta version and not update it until these issues with the full release have been ironed out by Siminnovations.
These panels will be Knobster compatible.
Panels will be designed for use on 2560 x 1440 resolution monitors. They can be resized within Air Manager, but will retain their aspect ratio. Please READ HERE, for further advice and comment on monitor resolutions.
Please download and install the EFIS Test instrument available here EFIS-Test.siff. It is recommended that you run multiple instances of this instrument on each of the screens on which you intend to run Captain or FO panels, as well as CDU screens. This will ensure that the Air Manager "Streaming" function works on your system, and will help you confirm that frame-rates are acceptable.
The following are composite pictures, made up of a mosaic of the panels as they presently stand. A few items I have not modeled are:
- The electronic Engine Instrument System (EIS). I will aim to look at this during 2024.
- The throttle quadrant and switches on the quadrant are not modeled as cockpit builders invariably have a hardware throttle unit of some description.
- Panel floodlighting is not implemented. It should be possible to simulate this, again a 2024 task.
- Weather radar display for the non-EFIS cockpit. This will be dependent on X-Plane 12.
"Standard" EFIS cockpit ....
Non-EFIS cockpit, Continental's layout is shown on the captain's side, Delta's on the First Officer's side....
Night and panel lighting effects are also included [note that panel floodlighting is not yet modeled]
